James D. Perko
James Perko focuses his practice on energy related matters, but also has experience in civil and intellectual property litigation. James also advises businesses technology start-ups in intellectual property protection, enforcement, and licensing.
While in law school, James worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Edmund A. Sargus, Jr. at the Southern District of Ohio and the Honorable Jeffrey S. Sutton at the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. James served as Associate Content Editor for the Capital University Law Review.
Prior to entering the legal field, James received his Bachelors of Science in molecular genetics and later worked in the field of human cancer genetics discovering and elucidating the role of predisposing genes to cancer. James also is an active equestrian rider and polo player, and a member of the Ohio State and Columbus Bar Associations.
