David J. Barthel
Dave Barthel has defended and prosecuted a wide variety of complex business disputes in federal and state courts pending across the country. He has represented large corporate clients, financial institutions, automobile manufacturers, and individuals in matters involving multi-district litigation, class actions, governmental investigations, anti-trust and RICO, mortgage-backed securities and securitization trusts, products liability, business tort, and breach of contract.
Dave also served for five years as a judicial law clerk to federal judges at both the trial and appellate levels. He has been invited to serve on panels with judges, federal prosecutors, and federal public defenders to speak about effective appellate advocacy.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Dave served as a public elementary school teacher and holds a master's degree in education. Dave is also an identical twin. His twin brother is a cancer researcher and instructor at Harvard University. Dave and his wife are the proud parents of three children.
